To qualify as a European patent attorney it is necessary to pass the European qualifying examination (EQE) administered by the European Patent Office (EPO).
The European Qualifying Examination (EQE) course at Queen Mary University of London is offered annually and has run for more than twenty years. The EQE course is open to members of Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and to those who wish to attend an English language patent course.
